When changes are made to the network, products will likely need to be reset and setup again to connect to the new Wi-Fi network. A single-pole setup is when 1 switch controls 1 set of lights.
A 3-way setup is when 2 switches control 1 set of lights.
A 4-way setup is when 3 switches control 1 set of lights.
iDevices products are designed and certified for use in the US and Canada only (120VAC). Wall Switch can be used up to 277VAC, for commercial use within the US and Canada. The iDevices Thermostat is also certified for use in Australia.
The iDevices Outdoor Switch is certified for use outdoors and is rain-tight when properly mounted. All other iDevices products are certified for indoor use.
Getting connected is a quick 2-step process. Start by enabling your products in the Home Assistants section of the iDevices Connected app. Then, head to the Amazon Alexa, Google Home, or IFTTT app to enable the iDevices skill and finish the connection process. We use Amazon's secure cloud platform called Amazon Web Services (AWS) to connect iDevices products to home assistants. This includes Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and IFTTT.
iDevices Connected App
Yes, they will. Product schedules created through the iDevices Connected app sync directly over to the product. If Wi-Fi goes down temporarily, the schedules will continue without issue. To learn about creating schedules, visit:Creating Schedules on iOS
Creating Schedules on Android
When using the iDevices Connected app, a hub isn't required to control your iDevices products remotely. If you would like to use the Apple Home app or Siri while remote, then an Apple Home Hub is required. An Apple Home Hub can also enable additional automations for iOS users. For your privacy and security, there isn't an option to transfer homes at this time. Products should be reset and set up again with the new administrator's mobile device. Once set up, additional users can be invited to share control of the home.
If you have an existing Amazon account, then you're ready to sign in with that account! If you need to create an Amazon account, you can do so from the Amazon sign-in page during the Instinct setup process, or on Amazon.com.
