HomeKit™ is Apple's home automation platform for controlling smart home products using iOS apps and Siri® voice commands. When a product is set up in the iDevices app, it’s automatically connected to Siri through the HomeKit Platform. You can say things like, “Hey Siri, turn on my Switch!” and Siri will turn it on for you!
When you start the setup process for your iDevices Dimmer or Wall Switch in the Connected app, you’ll be guided through the process of ensuring your product is ready for pairing. Follow the steps:
- To place the product into pairing mode, begin at the Primary Switch, pressing button 6 for 3 seconds and release when the LED rapidly flashes blue.
- Next Tap 2 to begin the Wi-Fi connection process.
- The LED will slowly flash blue. Tap “Ready to Add to HomeKit” and the iDevices Connected app will walk you through the setup process.
If the LED goes solid blue once placed into pairing mode, that means the product has been joined to the Wi-Fi network. Tap “Ready to Add to HomeKit” and the iDevices connected app will walk you through the setup process allowing you to customize the product.
When the iDevices Connected app prompts you to “Use the HomeKit Setup Code”, locate the 8-digit HomeKit pairing code on the pull out tab 4. Point your iOS device at the 8-digit pairing code and the app will automatically capture the code.
