After downloading the latest iDevices Connected app, every time you launch the iDevices Connected app, it will scan your local network for known iDevices products that need updated firmware. On your home dashboard, if you see the purple download icon to the left of your Product, there is an available firmware update.
If your product is paired to both an iOS device and an Android device, you should only attempt to update the product from one of the devices.
To Start Update:
1. Tap the purple download icon to the left of the product.
2. Tap “Start” on the prompt to start the download and installation of the new firmware.
Note: The iDevices Connected app has to be running in the foreground throughout the entire update process. If the app is closed or sent to the background, the update process will pause.
3. Depending on the iDevices product, a typical firmware update will last 5-7 minutes. As the firmware update runs, the text under your product name will read Downloading Update, then Installing Update and finally will return to your normal product view when complete.
Note: During the download and installation process, it’s normal for the product LED to flash and the connected accessory to turn on and off.
