All of the iDevices HomeKit™ products support Siri®, letting users control each directly from an iPhone®, iPad®, or iPod touch® using just their voice.
After you pair your accessory and iOS device, you can control the accessory with Siri commands.
Supported Siri Voice Commands:
"Hey Siri, turn on the lights" or "turn off the lights."
"Hey Siri, turn on the coffee maker."
If you set up ‘Homes,’ ‘Rooms,’ ‘Zones,’ or ‘Scenes,’ you can use commands like this:
"Hey Siri, turn on the upstairs lights."
"Hey Siri, turn off Chloe's light."
"Hey Siri, turn on the printer in the office."
"Hey Siri, party time."
"Hey Siri, dinner party."
"Hey Siri, goodnight."
For some accessories, Siri commands will not work while your iOS device is locked. For example, you will need to unlock your device before you can use Siri to unlock your door.
For HomeKit features such as Siri voice control, an Apple TV® (3rd generation or later) is required for use outside of your home. Ensure Apple TV® is signed in with the same iCloud® account on your iOS device, and that Keychain® is turned on. For users running an iOS device with iOS 9, please head over to your Settings > HomeKit™ > Select your Home > Turn On "Allow Remote Access"
